So, What Exactly is UX/UI Design?

The term “User Experience” was officially created in the 80’s by Apple, Inc. Though technically, the field has been around for at least a decade. Yet considering the fairly new title, I think this still leaves a good amount of room for confusion when the topic comes up. What is UX? Is it the same as UI? Or maybe Graphic Design?

Consider both Ford or Hoover…

User experience (UX) refers to any interaction a user has with a product or service. UX design considers each and every element that shapes this experience, how it makes a user feel, and how easy it is for the user to accomplish their desired tasks.” -CareerFoundry

User experience encompasses all aspects of the end-user’s interaction with the company, its services, and its products.” - Don Norman, Cognitive Scientist & User Experience Architect
